What is the People List by Date Widget?

The People List by Date widget is designed to help companies highlight key date-related milestones directly on Sift’s homepage. By displaying individuals based on a selected date range, the widget makes it easy to celebrate important moments like work anniversaries, birthdays, new hires, and even custom milestones created by the company.

Instead of relying on scattered calendars missing key dates, the widget ensures that these meaningful events are front and center, encouraging recognition and fostering a stronger company culture.

Want to learn more about the person being celebrated? Clicking on their avatar takes users directly to their Sift profile for quick access to more details.

Configuring People List by Date Widgets

Widgets can be configured by admins directly in the Sift Admin Dashboard. We’ve created some prebuilt widgets for Work Anniversaries, New Hires, and Celebrations that can be added to your homepage immediately, or configured with additional options. You can also create new widgets of this type for Birthdays or any other milestone.

To view and manage your widgets:

Go to the Homepage section in the Admin Dashboard, which will bring you to your Widgets list.
You will see precreated widgets for a few popular use cases such as Anniversaries or New Hires. If you’d like to change any settings, such as updating how frequently we show new people, click on the widget to change its settings.
If you have a custom date-based list widget you would like to create, click the Create a Widget button, and choose Person List(s) by Date. You’ll then be taken to a form where you can configure your widget accordingly.

To add widgets to your homepage:

Go to the Homepage section in the Admin Dashboard, which will bring you to your Widgets list.

Click the Layout tab, then use the Add Widget button to add the prebuilt or custom widgets to your homepage.
